A Simple Gesture

We drop off a shopping bag to your doorstep. Over the course of 2 months, you fill it with items listed on the tag. We pick it up and deliver the food to food banks around Oroville. What could be a simpler way to give to those in need? Click for more info and to sign up!

Operation Hope – Food Ministry

The Operation Hope team meets at 6 AM on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings to prepare and package a fresh hot breakfast for those who are hungry. The breakfast is then served at local parks in Downtown Oroville. In addition, a hot lunch is served on Fridays at The Hope Center. Everyone is welcome.

Clothing Assistance

Our warehouse contains organized racks of like-new clothing that are completely FREE to anyone in need.  Clients are able to obtain 7 outfits for themselves and 7 for each of their children.  Occasionally furniture, toiletries, hygiene products and household linens are available as well.  Clients can return once every two months for more clothing assistance, or if homeless, once every month.

Day Use Center

At The Hope Center, a wet-weather, drop-in, day-use center is currently under construction. We currently serve hot meals and fellowship with the needy and homeless in our main warehouse that has a makeshift dining area and houses our Community Kitchen Trailer. Future plans include offering laundry services, recreation facilities (board games, pool, foosball, etc), hot coffee, pastries & other snacks, and a shower facility – all offered during our regular business hours.

Life Skills Academy (LSA)

Life Skills Academy is a collaboration that includes The Hope Center, local government agencies, and churches to provide free basic life skills education in order to effect a positive change in peoples’ lives, helping them to contribute to the community, creating a better environment for individuals, businesses and law enforcement personnel, and even saving tax-payer dollars.
